This 3D Goniatite is a beautiful 3 dimensionally preserved, fossilised shell of an extinct Goniatite. Goniatites are type of Ammonite, themselves a type of cephalopod with spiral shells.

Goniatites appear to be most abundant in deeper, offshore locations. The group went extinct some 250 million years ago.

This 3D Goniatite is a truly beautiful and thought provoking fossil.
