Apache Tears Tumble Stone

These tumbles are a type of Black Obsidian only found in the USA. The name originated from the sad story of the Apache war, when outnumbered Apache warriors rode their horses off the mountain to their deaths rather than be killed and the wives and families of the warriors cried and their tears were said to be become stone upon hitting the ground.
