This Black Garnet and Tourmaline is a magnificent rough, opaque black and white mineral made up of both black garnet and tourmaline.

Garnets are a group of silicate minerals that can be found in virtually all colours depending on their chemical composition. All garnets have similar physical properties and crystal forms.

Tourmaline is classified as a semi-precious stone and comes in a wide variety of colours, with black being the most common. 

Hardness: Garnet: 6.5-7.5

                Tourmaline: 7-7.5
