Rough Morganite

This rough morganite is a lovely rough, translucent, pink piece of morganite, which itself is a variety of the mineral beryl. It can also show some fluorescence under UV light.

Morganite is also known by other names such as pink beryl and rose beryl, and is so coloured to to the presence of manganese ions within the beryl.

This beautiful mineral would be excellent to add to a collection.
