Rough zircon is a beautiful translucent, deep red form of the often colourful mineral zircon, whichich is the mineral form of the compund zirconum silicate.

In some cases, the colour of zircon can be changed by heating it to extremely high temperatures.

These amazing minerals would be excellet way to begin a mineral collection.
