Colour Changing Fluorite

Colour cahnging fluorite is a magnificent translucent piece of fluorite which is green under visible light, but which changes colour under frequencies of light, being blue-purple under ultraviolet light.

Fluorite is commonly known as the most colourful mineral on earth. The name for the property fluorescence is derived from the fact that fluorite often fluoresces under UV light.

The amazing colour of this mineral makes it excellent to look at on display.
