Large Peacock Ore Chalcopyrite

This Large Peacock Ore Chalcopyrite is a remarkable rough, orange-brown and yellow, and somewhat irridescent form of the minerals Chalcopyrite and Peacock Ore.

This mineral features both the brassy coloured Chalcopyrite and the deep red to brown coloured Peacokc Ore, the latter of which can sometimes tarnish to show fantastic blue and purple colourations, resembling the feathers of a peacock.

Both Peacock Ore and Chalcopyrite are silicate minerals, with a relatively similar chemical composition inncluding copper, iron and silicon.
