Optical calcite is a transparent and largely colourless form of the carbonate mineral calcite with some cloudiness inside. Calcite is often takes a very smooth, regular and layered shape.

Optical calcite often reflects light in order to create rainbows within it.

This mineral would be excellent to simly admire due to its beautiful appearence.
