This ruby on rock is a delightful rough, translucent and pink ruby within a white rock. Under Ultraviolet Light, this ruby fluoresces in an amazing bright pink colour.

Ruby is a form of the mineral corundum, and as such is tied as the third strongest mineral on Eath.

The name Ruby is derived from the latin word for red, as the colour of ruby is what distinguishes it from other forms of corundum.
