Greenlaws Fluorite

This Greenlaws fluorite is a stunning rough, translucent and grey to black piece of the mineral fluorite. When viewed under ultraviolet light, this mineral fluoresces a truly remarkable purple colour.

This fluorite is named after the Greenlaws mine in England, where it was discovered.

Fluorite is a highly colourful mineral form of calcium fluoride. Becuase of this, it is sometimes known as "the most colourful mineral in the world".
