This Greenlaws Fluorite is a breathtaking piece of rough, translucent, colourless to grey Fluorite. Under untraviolet light, this fluorite fluooresces a magnificent blue to purple colouration.
The name of this fluorite is a reference to the fact that it was found in the Greenlaws mine in England.
Fluorite is a highly colourful form of the compound calcium fluoride, and is sometimes known as "the most colourful mineral in the world".
