This Greenlaws Fluorite is a marvelous rough, translucent piece of fluorite which appears purple and grey under ultraviolet light. Under ultraviolet ligt, this mineral fluoresces a fantastic blue to purple colour.
This fluorite is named after the Greenlaws mine in England, where it was discovered.
Fluorite is a highly colourful mineral form of calcium fluoride. Becuase of this, it is sometimes known as "the most colourful mineral in the world".
